Welcome...

There are several blogs on the internet detailing other people’s walks up hills and mountains in the UK, there are many fine pages showing routes up various fells, many of which will be better than this blog. So, why bother reading my blog? No reason at all, so I guess you might as well move on…

You still here? Cool...let's see...

Blawith Knott (and others)

In October 2025, Me, Steve and Mark did a spot of Wainwright Outlying wandering. The hills were: Blawith Knott, Tottlebank Height, Wool Knott & Beacon Fell (not the Lancashire one). It was a pleasant walk, or it would have been in drier weather, as it rained most of the day – tell a lie, it rained all the day.

We parked at the Giant’s Grave, but not sure if we actually saw it or if it was just some mound on the side of the narrow winding road. Then we headed the short walk to Blawith Knott, on Totterbank Height, Wool Knott, then passed the tarn and up Beacon Fell. Nice walk, very wet…
