In November 2023 four of us headed up Sallows and Sour Howes. We parked up on the outskirts of Kentmere and headed upwards. Four hill wanderers, Mark, Steve, Andrew and I, we took the well-trodden path, our goal in sight. But getting to the first hill seemed never ending with so many false summits, but once there, the ridge was easy going for the next Wainwright.
A nice, chilled and dry day, the walk back was long but fun. Of course, we had to have a beer on the way back…
