Welcome...

There are several blogs on the internet detailing other people’s walks up hills and mountains in the UK, there are many fine pages showing routes up various fells, many of which will be better than this blog. So, why bother reading my blog? No reason at all, so I guess you might as well move on…

You still here? Cool...let's see...

Walking Review 2019

As much as we would all like our days on the hills to be clear and warm, that’s not always the case: sometimes you just don’t have a choice, and some times days that start off nice, end up bad and then there are days which start off bad… and stay bad! But as someone once said, it’s not a case of it being the wrong weather, just the wrong coat…
2019 took us from icy cold days of winter, Arnside Knott, clear days and wet days in Scotland, the threatening of rain in Yorkshire and mixed bags in Lancashire and the Lakes. We scaled small hills and big mountains, and I had some good companions with me as well.
So, I did it! This was my new year’s resolution for 2019, to climb a hill once a month, to give me the impetus to get on the hills more.

Shall I do it again in 2020? Oh… go on then…
