Welcome...

There are several blogs on the internet detailing other people’s walks up hills and mountains in the UK, there are many fine pages showing routes up various fells, many of which will be better than this blog. So, why bother reading my blog? No reason at all, so I guess you might as well move on…

You still here? Cool...let's see...

Ben Lomond 2023

In October 2023 Steve, Andy, Andrew and I went to Drymen for a short break and the first hill of the trip was Ben Lomond, the most southerly Munro and a hill I have passed many a time on the way to various destinations.

It was Andy and I as the other two had dodgy legs at the time, and we parked up at Rowardennan which overlooks the beautiful Loch Lomond and set off as a short shower began.

Thankfully it passed and the rest of the walk was clear, but gusty at times.

We took the well-travelled path to the summit and took in the views. This is a favourite of many a hill wanderer. It certainly is in my top hills.
The well worn path.
